Sharan Balasubramanian
Graduate Research Assistant

I’ve done my Bachelor’s in mechanical engineering with a minor in automobile engineering. During my Bachelor’s, I gained a fair share of knowledge in designing and manufacturing a Formula student car when I was a part of Pegasus Racing (http://www.pegasusracing.in/). When attending Formula Student Germany, I attended a techtalk on autonomous vehicles and got interested towards autonomy. So I started my master’s with a focus on machine learning and data science and joined the AUVSL team. I’m interested in applying machine learning towards real-life systems. My current area of research involves using neural networks for modelling dynamic systems for Kalman filtering and localization. Sharan's LinkedIn
